The cost of using FOOD freshly® solutions is highly economical and designed to offer maximum value by extending shelf life and reducing waste. Depending on several factors — including the type of fruit or vegetable, the desired shelf life, and the specific treatment formula used — the cost per kilogram of treated product typically ranges between: €0.04 and €0.10 per 1 KG of final product This means that for just a few cents per kilogram, FOOD freshly® provides a scientifically backed solution to: Preserve freshness Maintain visual and textural quality Minimize spoilage and product losses Support clean-label and additive-free product positioning (depending on formulation) We would be happy to calculate a more precise cost estimate tailored to your product type, production volume, and regional pricing. FOOD freshly® products are highly efficient and designed to deliver effective treatment with minimal dosage. Under typical conditions, just 1 kilogram of Food Freshly product is sufficient to treat up to 200 kilograms of fresh-cut fruits or vegetables. This high yield makes the treatment: Cost-effective, especially for large-scale operations Resource-efficient, with minimal impact on production costs Scalable, easily integrated into both small and high-capacity processing lines Please note that the exact dosage may vary depending on: The type and cut size of the fruit or vegetable The desired shelf life and storage conditions The specific Food Freshly formulation used Our technical team is happy to help you determine the optimal treatment ratio for your particular application to ensure the best results in quality and shelf-life extension.

In most cases, special packaging is not required when using Food Freshly products. Our treatment solutions are specifically developed to provide effective protection against discoloration, texture loss, and microbial spoilage — helping to achieve the desired shelf life without relying on costly or complex packaging systems. This offers several key advantages: No additional packaging costs Simplified logistics and supply chain Compatibility with standard packaging formats already in use in the fresh-cut industry Greater flexibility in distribution and retail environments By reducing the need for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), vacuum sealing, or other special technologies, we help customers maintain product quality while keeping operations cost-efficient and sustainable. However, in some cases — such as extended export logistics or extremely sensitive produce types — enhanced packaging solutions may still be beneficial. Our experts are happy to advise on whether your specific application may benefit from complementary packaging strategies. Contact us to review your setup and product goals. We’ll help you identify the most efficient path to quality and shelf-life optimization — with or without specialized packaging.

Sanitizers play an important role in the hygienic handling of fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. However, their usage is regulated differently across countries, and in some regions, their application is restricted or not permitted at all. Our goal is to achieve optimal shelf life and food safety using only our specially developed Freshness Retainers — without the need for chemical sanitizers. In most cases, our solutions are effective enough to meet both microbial and quality requirements on their own. That said, in certain production environments — such as those with high microbial loads, extended storage durations, or specific hygiene regulations — the supplementary use of a sanitizer may offer additional safety benefits. We are happy to advise you on whether a sanitizer is advisable for your specific application, processing conditions, and local regulations.

Whether the use of Food Freshly products must be declared on your final consumer label depends on several factors, including: The specific Food Freshly formulation being used The way the product is applied (e.g., rinsed off vs. left on the product) The food category and processing method The regulatory requirements in your country or target market In many cases, Food Freshly solutions can be classified as processing aids, which may not require labeling under certain national or international food regulations. However, labeling rules can vary significantly between regions and product types. Our experts are happy to evaluate your specific case and advise you on the correct labeling approach — to ensure full compliance while maintaining transparency and consumer confidence.

Yes, you can use the prepared Food Freshyl solution on different types of fruits and vegetables, provided that the specific FOOD freshly® product is designed and approved for those particular varieties. Each Food Freshly formulation is tailored to meet the unique preservation needs of certain fruit or vegetable categories. Using the product on approved fruits and vegetables ensures optimal results in terms of freshness, safety, and appearance. If you plan to treat multiple types of produce, please consult our experts to confirm compatibility and to receive guidance on the best practices for your specific application.

We recommend discarding the prepared Food Freshly solution after 8 to 10 hours of use. This precaution is important because bacteria originating from the treated fresh-cut fruits and vegetables can accumulate and multiply in the solution if it is reused beyond this time frame, potentially compromising product safety and quality. To maintain optimal hygiene and effectiveness, fresh solution preparation at the start of each production cycle is advised. However, for customers interested in extending the usability of the solution, there are technical methods available to preserve the solution, such as: Pasteurization to reduce microbial load without degrading the active ingredients Filtration systems that remove contaminants and microorganisms These advanced solutions can help improve operational efficiency by reducing waste and downtime. Please contact us if you would like more information or assistance regarding these preservation techniques and whether they fit your production needs.
